The Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia

The Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia (CEAWP) is a partnership organization comprised of two charter schools, Belmont Charter School (BCS) and Belmont Academy Charter School (BACS), and one 501(c)3 non-profit entity. We work solely with the community of Belmont, which is home to both schools.

We aim to equip our students with a comprehensive education to confront the challenges that an underserved population may face.  Therefore, beginning at age 3 and continuing through middle school, students receive rigorous and challenging academic curriculums.  In order to develop successful students and young people, more than a strong academic program is necessary.  We believe that the academic setting is an ideal base from which the students and their families may access other services and opportunities offered through the organization such as out-of-school-time programs, yoga and dance classes for adults, family events, and emotional, mental and behavioral support through our Family Support Specialists team.  By combining education and community- based services in the school setting, there is more opportunity for greater communication and collaboration among the individuals who are there to promote the academic, social and emotional success of our students.

It is the policy of the Community Education Alliance of West Philadelphia not to discriminate on the basis or race, sex, color, age, religion, ancestry, marital status or disability in its educational programs, activities or employment policies.
